| When George Berry
was seven years old, his father gave him a jack
knife, and he has been carving ever since. Berry
is a master at capturing the wildlife and natural
surroundings of rural Mississippi. Using no tools
other than a pocketknife, his carvings include hunting
dogs, rabbits, catfish and mules. Motivated by his
father's work with tools and his mother's creative
talents and dreams, he has been creating "Expressions
in Wood" almost all his life. |
|
| "My
dream is to create in wood what I would like to
see in our world, beauty, peace, love, and good
will." |
