About the Artist

Cynthia Bringle has been a studio artist for 40 years. She holds a BFA from the Memphis College of Art, and a MFA from Alfred University (Alfred, NY). She has presented numerous workshop presentations. She is a Fellow of the American Craft Council and is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Memphis College of Art. Bringle is also a recipient of the North Carolina Award for Fine Art.

"I like making goblets. I don't sketch them out when I sit down to make goblets. I've made them so long that I just sit down and make them. Every one is different. The tall goblets are two pieces and the shorter ones are in one piece."
