| Born in Biloxi,
Mississippi, home of many boatyards and seafood
canning factories, Bill Holland grew up around boats
and fishing. A master boatbuilder, Mr. Holland has
built 43 boats from small skiffs to schooners. Devastated
by Hurricane Katrina, very little remains of his
boatyard, but Bill Holland continues to teach, build
and work on boats that are part of this region’s
maritime heritage. |
