Major
earned a BFA from the University of Louisiana,
an MFA from Rutgers University in New Jersey and
attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and
Sculpture. She exhibits nationally and currently
resides in Opelousas, Louisiana. The artist states,
“I use a bricoleur approach to create
a magical and sacred space weaving a critical
narrative of ideas, memories and fragments of
experience associated with growing up in Southwestern
Louisiana.”
