About the Artist

Born in 1960, Tom McCarthy has been making jewelry for over 20 years. He has an MFA from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. His work is in numerous private and public collections including the Mint Museum of Craft + Design in Charlotte, NC. McCarthy is also a popular workshop instructor, teaching classes at Penland School of Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Craft, and John C. Campbell Folk School.
