Richard
Prisco has been a professor of furniture design
at the Savannah College of Arts and Design in
Savannah, Georgia since 1994 and was Department
Head of the Program from 1996-2003. Having attained
an MFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design from
the Rochester Institute of Technology School for
American Craft, and a BS in Industrial Design
from the University of Bridgeport, Prisco’s
current work blends a methodical approach to problem-solving
with a refined sense of craft. His work has received
recognition for its technique, structural integrity
and experimentation.
