Koss’s midwestern roots with
blue-collar values are central to his approach to sculpture
and his great respect for craftsmanship. Utility is
referenced in his work, both in metaphorical terms and
through implied movement. Often site-specific, his work
references the landscape and use of the land. His subject
matter and personal drive keep Koss continually pushing
against the boundaries of scale.
Koss is very closely connected
to his community, the glass community. In New Orleans,
sculptors, dancers, architects are all part of it. Koss
wants to raise money for an endowed chair in glass at
Tulane. His legacy |
